Hi,
If you have a chance over the holiday, Speed TV will be showing re-runs of
all 24 races from the 2003 SCCA Runoffs(tm) (6 AM on the 25th through 6 AM
on the 26th). The EP race featured the best quote of the series (IMHO) by
Greg Creamer. In the clip, TR6 driver Sam Halkias is getting passed on the
back straight and Creamer says: "That's Sam Halkias in the TR6 aguably the
finest sounding car here at the Runoffs".
I couldn't agree more.
Check www.speedtv.com for the schedule, it looks like the EP race is at 2
AM on the 26th. Set the VCR is that's too early/late for you.
The FP race was pretty awesome too, Steve Sargis had a huge lead. The
operative is "had". That Spitfire is incredible.
There was another quote during another race by Johnny O'Connel that was
classic, but I won't print it here, it was kind of risque'.
Oh well, back to Triumph things.
