    I saw your post about rear shock conversions and thought I'd drop you a
line.
I installed a conversion about two or three years ago. I think I got it from
TRF but I can't be sure. It came with KYB shocks. It was made from strong
1/4" steel and mounted to the frame where the originals did. It seemed like
a really nice conversion. Well after one summer of driving I noticed a sharp
noise every time I hit a bump in the road. When I looked under the car I
couldn't believe my eyes. The frame was cracked around where the crossmember
that the shock bracket bolted to ties to the main frame! Both sides were
broken free . I'm convinced that this particular shock conversion was the
cause. I believe that the way the conversion bracket is angled it places a
sideways stress on the frame it is not designed to take. Be careful what you
use, if your sure you want to use these I'll sell you my old ones!!!!
