TR6 wheels

I'm at a decision point for the wheels on my recently acquired TR6 and
thought some of you that have been through this might be able to provide
some advice. I came up with three options.

Option 1 -- The original steel rims that came on the car need to be
cleaned up and possibly straightened. When I removed the dry-rotted
tyres, there were tubes in them, so I assume the previous owner had a
problem with the rims. I have a local source that will strip and powder
coat the rims for $65 apiece, but then I still could have out of balance
wheels and if I have to replace even one, the best price I can find is
$120 apiece for a replacement wheel, before refurbishment.

Option 2 -- I've been reading about Panasport wheels that "bolt directly
on" to TR6. I read one post that talked about 16" Panasports with
215/60-16 tyres.

Option 3 -- I read another post that talked about 15"x6" Panasport
wheels with 205/70 tyres that supposedly bolt directly on as well.

My first question is whether or not Panasports "bolt right on", and are
there other wheel that bolt right on?

My second question is whether or not I will notice any handling
difference between the three options, or if this is really just about
appearance. (I don't intend to race, but like to have fun on the
winding back roads.)

Your thoughts would be appreciated.
