I personally think folks rushing out to purchase a Gunst bearing when
they have had no bearing related problems in the past are very possibly
wasting valuable TR parts $$. I have close to 30,000 miles on the Toyota
bearing with excellent results. Same with the Sachs pressure plate. I
have logged well over 150,000 miles with the old original bearings with
1 failure after 50,000 mi. on a '74.5 TR6. It was time for a new clutch
anyway at that point. 
When you consider all the TR6s out there and how few truly bearing
related failures occur, I'm not sure spending the extra $$ for a Gunst
bearing is money wisely spent. 
I believe it is much more important to replace or renew all the clutch
linkage, from pedal to cross shaft bearings than invest in an expensive
Gunst throw out bearing.

Jim---I can see no reason that a quality bearing, such as the Gunst,
shouldn't  work with any clutch suitable for the Triumph. Different
brands of pressure plates can give the clutch a different feel. due to
the pedal force necessary to operate them. See the buckeyetriumphs.org
