Adam,
There are two springs , one is the primary , this should have some
tension on it to keep the weights pulled back. The secondary should be
loose. Check out the link ,
http://www.telusplanet.net/~chichm/tech/lucastuning.pdf it should help. You
will need to be able to open PDF files with Adobe Acrobat. Be aware the
distributor is a slightly different model Lucas but it looks exactly the
same and the info is applicable.
