John,

Jeff brought up a good point about the block.  Seems
like the GT6 engines ended with HE.  They look the
same externally.

If you're concerned with correctness then get a
heritage certificate for the VIN.  Only thing is
they're $50.00.  With the VIN you they can supply you
with the correct engine, tranny, body, & trim numbers.
 You may want to write them & ask if the engine is
correct for the VIN.  They might tell you if it's NOT?
 The engine won't match the commission number but it
should be in the ball park.

If you're not concerned about correctness then just
make sure it's not a GT6 block & there aren't thrust
washers in the oil pan.
