John---One of two possibilities here. Either the wires going to the
backup switch (on the top of the transmission) is crossed with another
switch (seat belt?) OR the r/g & g wires coming out of the double bullet
connectors are reversed. It's easier to just switch them at the double
bullet connection where these two wires come out of the top/side of the
tranny cover. To see which is the case, you can also compare the wire
colors into and out of this connection to see if they match. (Green to
green, and green/red to green/red) ?
