Alas Don, it's more related to dirtiness of the air than milage. A few times up
and down a dirt road in cottage country, or in today's lovely smoggy cities and
you'd be amazed just how much dirt is clumped on the filter screen. I've made a
habit of cleaning and oiling my filters every season. That's about every
3,000-5,000 miles. I can definitely tell the difference once they've been
cleaned. Makes you wonder what our lungs must have to handle.
