        Ron:

Spar varnish is a good choice. It has the weather resistance you
need to keep the wood in good shape given the relatively high UV
exposure it is going to see in a convertible. 3-4 coats of that with
some light sanding in between coats will give you a beautiful finish.

Subject: TR6 Dashboard finish?

Listers:
I've just finished veneering some burl walnut onto my
TR6 dash and am now considering what to finish it
with. I believe a '71 TR6 had a satin finish to it so
that's what I plan to go with. Other than that and the
need for UV stability, I'm open for suggestions. I'm
curious what you've used, how you used it, and how
happy you are with it. If you used a filler for some
of the voids, what did you use?

As always, any and all input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks!
