Valve Cover Cap Disassembly??

Howdy all,

I recently picked up a chrome valve cover cap on
e-bay...the seller misrepresented the item as it has
chrome missing AND the seal was cracked...well, not
only was it cracked, but it broke.

My question, has anyone ever either tried to
disassemble a cap OR perhaps drill the center out &
rivit it back together with a new(er) seal??
