There is no cover. The prongs are just to retain the lamp unit in the
hole in the glove compartment.

How's this for a little bitty question?

Inside my glove box is a light bulb in a socket. The bulb works fine
on a
switch controlled by the glove box door. The socket has little tabs
all
around it that look as if they are meant to hold some sort of cover over
the bulb.
Is that correct, and my bulb cover is missing? I can't remember from
my
'70. If there is a cover, is the part available from the usual
sources?

Thanks.
