Dave..are we talking about your TR6 or your TR3?

If it's the 6, remove the cowls over the column switches, remove the turn
signal switch and check that the turn signal cancelling clip is nestled in its
detents on the column. The clip should point to 9 o'clock, so that it's right
between the 2 cancelling cams on the switch when the steering wheel is in the
neutral (straight ahead) position. If the clip is in its detent, but not
pointing in the correct position, you'll have to loosen the column and center
the steering wheel. I had to do this a few years ago and was surprised at how
easy it was to fix, but I can't remember exactly what I did with the column. I
think I loosened it at the impact clamp, moved it a few degrees and
re-tightened it.

Hey all;

I find that my turn signals no longer cancel reliably after making a turn.
And, I can't recall: Is the detent on the spring clip (on the steering column)
supposed to 'point' to the 12 o'clock position or the six o'clock? Not sure
why it moves out of position from time-to-time.....

Thanks for any help!

9:00 I think so it trips the little levers on the switch going out of position
and back. Most everything on my car works, but the turn signals don't cancel. I
messed with them a little after I redid everything, but I put it down to the
new switch being out of tolerance. I am kind of picky about everything working
as intended but I wrote this one off as not worth the effort (I worked under
the column quite a bit early on for some general problems with the wiring and
the new switch, didn't really want to dig in there again.

As I said at the beginning, everything else works, so overall I feel pretty
fortunate.
