> Both the TR6 and the 240Z suffered from rust in the NE with roads cove=
red with sand and salt. My 72 6 was a perfect example. I spent a ton of tim=
e cutting and welding/brazing both the body and the frame. But in the end i=
t was more solid than its original. And thanks to Ted with his frame streng=
thening kit.=C2=A0 The Z however was uni-body. A good friend had one and it=
basically fell apart in the early 80's. He took it to a frame shop and=
they couldnt do a thing with it. And there is no way to restore it. At lea=
st on the 6, if the frame was shot, you could to to a junk yard and pick up=
one in decent shape, same with the fenders/ doors etc.
>
> I do see one Z at car shows but I am sure it is not a NE car. I do see=
quite a few 6's though. One thing that the Z had better on the engine =
were the carbs. A SU clone made by Hitachi. I fitted=C2=A0 a pair on my 72 =
as I was not a fan of the ZS. They have been trouble free for over 15 years=
.
