Joe - PLEASE don't take this personally. I do love the car but I
have this disease about always getting different cars!

Listers,
So now I've done it. I for some reason went and bought another toy
car ('57 Porsche Speedster) on a whim and the wife in not too happy
about it seeing as the Alpine is 99.99% done after 3 years and is
currently having the clutch repaired (hydaulics we're assuming).
I have some photos taken of the car interior and exterior a few
months ago (missing center grille, badges, side mirrors, etc.) for
anyone who would like to see. Try
http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/tbeloney. I will take new pics once I get
her back again. The car is now complete as explained below.

Here's what it has (all work done proffessionaly):

1965 Series 5 V6

Engine - 1976 Capri 2.8 V6 completely rebuilt with medium performance
cam, 4bbl Holley carb, and Joe Rodriguez's install kit. Has chrome
rocker covers, headers, and filter cover. Also has heavy duty
radiator.

Gearbox - 1991 T5 from Mustang. Rebuilt clutch with hydraulic
throwout bearing.

Exhaust - Custom dual exhaust with chrome tips and attention getting
sound!

Exterior - New Oxford Blue paint. 5 year Warranty on paint and
bodywork. CA car so no rust. Bumpers re-chromed, new lucas style
mirrors, new script, all chrome excellent. "Like new" black top and
repainted rails ready to install onto car. Minilite style wheels on
195x60x14 tires.

Interior - All refinished guages. Mohogony veneer dash to match
LeCara steering wheel. Fiero seats with speakers (no stereo). Light
gray custom interior from Martha Wheat with dark blue piping on seats
and dark blue plush carpeting. Boot cover is light gray also and
needs to be installed. roll bar painted to match car.

New steering box and column from Smitty's thanks to the lister's
diagnosis - nice and smooth now. EVERYTHING works except what's
mentioned below.

Here's what it needs:

- speedometer cable
- temp guage corrected - via changing sensor or inline filters(?)
- soft top installed onto car. Rails and front bar already connected
to top.
- as I mentioned I am having the clutch fixed currently.
- a couple of minor scratches can be repaired for us really picky
people.

I wish I could keep both cars but the child in me says it's time to
move on after spending so much time and $ (about $16k+) on this one.
It is a great driver (well, when the clutch gets fixed!) and will
make someone very happy. I am asking $9500 OBO and need to move it
FAST. Car is located in Alameda, CA (SF Bay Area). You can call me
at 408-752-7852 during the day with any questions. I can also give
you the name of the mechanic in Corte Madera if you would like to
contact him. I would like to sell it to someone related to the list
because I know you are enthusiasts and have helped me a great deal.
If I don't get many responses I will then post it to the various for
sale sites.

Thanks,
Tim
