'63 Sunbeam Alpine Series II. I'm not getting a good spark to the plugs.
All basic checks have been made and are all good. The spark from the coil is
Yellow which indicates a problem in the wiring. Where is the ignition
Resistor? I cannot find it on the firewall. Points, rotor and low tension
wiring is ok. Distributor cap is good and plugs are good. Point gap is good
and condenser checks out ok. It has to be in the primary wiring from the key
switch to the coil but their should be a resistor somewhere in that line. If
the resistor is bad, that could cause the full 12v not getting to the coil to
produce a strong blue spark. I cannot find it. Any ideas? It's not a
complex system but it sure is aggravating when she will not start.
JTombone@aol.com Thanks in advance and have a great Holiday!!!
