I live 5 miles away from Langley Air Force Base in Virginia which is home of
the Air Combat Command and is responsible for defending the east coast of
the US. There's been plenty of aircraft flying around here, all of it being
F-15 and F-16 fighters.

This tragedy has affected all Americans. What these terrorists must not
understand is that Americans consist of all nationalities and races. The
main thing they've accomplished from this cowardly attack is to turn the
whole world against them. Which will make it easier for us to send them to
meet their maker.

I have to head out to the Luray, Va event tomorrow knowing that my wife is
in Ireland and can't get home. Once she does fly out, her connecting flight
is out of Baltimore - Washington Airport, which terrifies her even more. I
can tell you one thing, if anything happens to her nobody better show up at
my house with a towel wrapped around their head!

Jim

> Yes, I saw the 747 fly over my house last night around 5:00 and thought it
was Air Force One. Soon after, we heard the Sonic Booms and it really rocked
the house. My wife and I immediately rounded up the baby and got the hell
out of town. The first report that we heard on the radio was that another
plane had gone down somewhere near Wright Patt. We thought it may have been
an attack on the President, but soon learned that it was the Sonic Booms and
that the plane we saw was actually a NOAC Command Post Jet and not the
President. We felt much better after that, but were still very shook up.
I've also seen a lot of military convoys on the road this morning too. I
think the sleeping giant has been awoken... for the second time. I've heard
reports that the loss of life yesterday could greatly out number the losses
during the entire Vietnam war. The feeling I get today is that ALL
Americans, black and white, have united with the same opinions... War is in
the air. We won't tolera!
