I'm not sure your individual car's set up has anything to do with this.  I
always thought it came with the territory.  You run slicks, you pick up
crap.  Many of us wrap our tires with stretch film when moving to and from
paddock, but that doesn't help you if your picking stuff up on course.  

If we run into and compete again each other at an autocross, I'll suggest
oiling down your tires with 10W-30 so you don't get any more pick up!  ;)
