With the rotary turn-pipe application, the car went from 
being gawdawfully obnoxiously loud anywhere near the
car, to being gawdawfully obnoxiously loud anywhere
near the left side of the car only.  On the right side, you
could then almost shout loud enough to be heard.  =-)
