I see most people in AP, and on the net, have based this "hate" mail
towards " the Big Bucks". Unfortunately the reality of the situation is
that only possibly 2 other AP competitors could have won in that car
anyway. Greg Fordahl is at least a very good driver, and probably closer to
excellent in a Porsche. I saw his runs, he drove great-give him credit.
Give him credit, also for having the guts to go for it in something
relatively untested,( in auto-cross situations). You know if a driver the
Caliber of Greg hadn't been driving, there would be no controversy. To say
something costs too much, is pretty ridiculous. To some people the $1500.00
car is tops, Maybe $2000.00-$3000.00 is another groups tops. In STOCK
classes we have people spending an easy $50,000-$75,000-so where do you
draw the line????-You can't-Natural selection does. The fittest of the fit.
Greg and that car could be beat for a lot less-but it would take some real
thinking. That is what makes this Sport SPECIAL, and very difficult.---Guy
