Snow? Oh, yeah. I remember now......  ;-)

As a former teacher, I recall what I thought early on about hearing
those "excuses". Later in my career however I remember rethinking my
objections in favor of the many positive values gained in a family
sharing such experiences together (not just racing - other stuff too).
Now for me the family always comes first.  Seems like you guys did
really OK raising yours  :-)

How about the development of a "Fiscal Racing Year", then
(October->September, or even July->June with a Nationals date movement
to summer)?  Really awkward to have the National Championships and then
have to follow the old rules for three more months.

Side note to the 'faithful' - NOT "blasphemy", just rethinking the envelope.
