I can't speak for other locations but I've lived in Houston now for over 50
years and it rains here, somewhere, every day. However, the official
rainfall, as measured at Intercontinental Airport might differ. Houston
covers too many square miles in a semi-tropical zone to use any rainfall
statistics as a guide. Ask the Texaco Grand Prix guys, last year it rained
out the CART race and there wasn't any official rainfall. The rain can be
from a light sprinkle to 8" and hour without any recorded. It drys fast!

Everything is 1,000 miles from just about anywhere in Texas (couldn't resist
;>) )

$50.00 AP RX-7 on the build (it runs!) I hope I do get beaten by a $200,000
car, I'll laugh my ass off.
