let us not forget the E30 M3 benefits more from SP mods then the E36, there
is like 10 years development diffrence between the two,  they were lucky to
get a tire that would hold air when the 4 cylinder M3 was built..
so the E36 is developed very close to it's potential out of the box where
the E30 has more room to grow..
