I spliced my comments in at the end of this, so I apologize ahead of time that
you
have to read through the old messages to get to mine. But I think it helps give
the
necessary perspective.

Only the ones who can't read English. Sid's message used the word "foolish".

Hmm, good question - and what exactly did Patrick's post accomplish by that
standard?

Just to be clear up front, I have no intention of contributing anything
substantive
to the discussion of Stock rules. No dog in that fight. So if you are looking
for
that kind of thing, sorry for wasting your time. Please return to your regularly
scheduled posting.

Patrick, the only person calling anybody a dumb f*** is you. Is this just a
favorite
phrase of yours, or does it jump easily to mind as a description of yourself
for some
other reason? Help me out here...
Just for the record, though - I think I have heard Sid use the phrase, so if he
meant
to call someone that, he would have.

Let me clue you in, Patrick. Your loss. I have known Sid almost as long as I
have
been in this sport (5yrs). My region competes with his in a statewide series.
He and
have I served on the Board of Directors for this series. We haven't always
agreed
about everything, but I frequently come away from the meetings thinking that
Sid is a
class act. When I was RE of our region, we hosted a Divisional. Some of the most
helpful advice I got about managing such a big event came from outside my
region.
>From Sid and the folks in his region (did I mention our regions compete?).

So what we have in this thread is three people speaking their minds (so far) -
that's
the point of a public forum.

If you think it is ok for you to speak your mind through personal attacks and
profanity directed toward a member of this community, Patrick, that's your
business.
Doesn't seem very "sportsmanlike". I guess that's just another one of those
self-descriptions of yours...

Personally, if Mr. DeLeon told me he thought I was "foolish", I would take some
time
to make real sure I wasn't, before I opened my mouth and removed all doubt.

The good news is that the rest of us (a large number in SowDiv at least) who
like
and respect Sid, can guess that we "don't really care" to meet you, Patrick.
Thanks,
Sid.

(Wow, did I just use the word "substantive" on team.net?)
