Fellow Florida autocrossers,
Just heard from the horses mouth (Dave) that Gulfcoast Autocrossers Ltd. in
Ft. Myers Florida is planning to put on a "Nationals Warm-up" for Florida's
entries to the Nationals! It will probably be the weekend before our
September event on the 2nd & 3rd. We need to have people respond to us ASAP
to put this special event on. What better place in Florida to practice for
Topeka than at Buckingham Airfield! (half mile X 400' cement runway) As usual
all runs (unlimited) will be timed the whole two days and we might even serve
our famous lunch if the turn out is good enough. Dave said he will send out
flyers and ask for a response from all that would plan to attend to see if
there will be enough response to make it feasible. We have to reach a minimum
turn out of a certain amount of drivers to break even on event expenses.
Practice fee will be determined by turnout. The course will have a
"Nationals" style course lay out. Please call Dave Hutter (GCAC President) at
