that this donation -- along with donations from others around the
world -- will enable the American Red Cross to help people who
need help the most."

out to the victims, their families and the brave rescue teams
working around the clock to help find and assist the injured.

UPDATE OF MITSUBISHI MOTORS
CONTRIBUTIONS TO RELIEF EFFORTS

Mitsubishi Motors companies express gratitude for the thousands
of people who have been reunited with their families and deep
sorrow and sympathy to the families and loved ones of those whose
lives were lost. We deeply appreciate the courage of the many
heroes who emerged from the tragedy and join hands with the other
companies, families and individuals who are continuing to raise
funds and devote resources to helping those affected by the
terrorist strikes.

Joining millions of Americans who have opened their hearts in
response to tragedy, Mitsubishi Motors companies and employees
are continuing to raise funds in support of relief efforts
following the Sept. 11 attacks.

In the three weeks since the attacks, more than $200,000 has been
raised by contributions from Mitsubishi Motors Corporation
(Japan), Mitsubishi Motors companies in the United States* and
fundraising efforts of employees, which are continuing. These
donations have been earmarked for the Red Cross Disaster Relief
Fund.

In addition, information about the other funds addressing
fireman's relief and other support for victims have been
distributed to employees, as well as a list of volunteer
resources for employees in various parts of the country.

Employees also have turned out in record numbers for a company
blood drive co-sponsored with the Red Cross last month. Another
one will be held in October.

Mitsubishi Motors' nationwide dealer network also has been
donating services and mobilizing resources in response to the
tragedy - ranging from driving supplies to Ground Zero to raising
funds for emergency medical services, the Red Cross and
Firefighters' disaster funds.

In addition, Mitsubishi Motor Sales of America, Inc. and its
finance subsidiary Mitsubishi Motors Credit of America, Inc.,
have taken steps to address the immediate financial impact of the
tragedy on customers who were directly affected. The company has
notified customers within commuting distance to the New York City
and Washington, D.C. areas that any late fees in the current
billing cycle will be waived. And should circumstances dictate
the need to miss a monthly payment entirely, the company will
assist these consumers with payment deferral options.
