You might also bend your inside rear view mirror to
allow you see around it better (there won't be anyone
coming from behind!!!!).  Also, they make a big velcro
strap (racerwholesale.com has them I think) that holds
your torso to the seat (unless you have a racing
harness already)  and keeps you from having to grip
the wheel to keep yourself in the seat, this allows
you to hold the wheel more gently and be better able
to steer.  You will also find that you will want to
sit up more and a little closer to the wheel than in
normal street driving.
