It's not uncommon at all to have to get a new 02 sensor when getting new
header/exhaust.

Expensive little buggers...

Still; heating the pipe to almost red hot and letting it cool may loosen it
up enough to get it out...

When I've worked on my cars, from England to Chicago and places between,
these parts are almost throw away's when working on them (exhaust), but down
here in the desiccating desert I removed a thermal reactor on my 79 Rx7 with
hand tools - no penetrating grease - no torch... Wild...
