I also forgot to mention that Rick Myllenbeck is in fifth in DSP, and just a
few tenths behind, in the last trophy spot, is Ben Martinez. According to
Arie, Ben is adapting to Don Lew's Supra really fast, so the best is yet to
come.

I just had an idea for Nationals, and I wonder if they'd ever do this. What
if they made it like a team competition, like you earn points for your club
for whatever position you finish in.

Of course I'd think of this, since I come from SFR, which only sent 68
excellent drivers.

Obviously, some clubs, like SFR, would have a huge advantage. We'd have a
GROSS advantage, and I'll be honest, that's why I like this idea.

But they do this in swim meets and all sorts of other athletic competitions.
There could be divisions, a la Small, Medium, and Large sized clubs, based
on how many people sent from each club.

Just a random thought.

Back to the scoop: Katie Elder won GSL, by over three seconds!

In other news, contrary to a few M3 drivers' opinions, the pony car of '99
ESP National Champion Mark Madarash did NOT have the advantage on the North
course, as Bob Tunnell in his M3 extended his lead to a full second.

Our own Casey Cronin cleaned up his act to take the 8th trophy spot in a
field of 37 competitors in his '92 Chevy Camaro.

Just think about the points. The points.
