Are your MX's shaved? I've heard they really need to be. Regarding
rain, I have heard a general consensus that the Azenis is the rain tire
of choice over the MX, for exactly the same reasons that make it a
difficult tire for 2 drivers in the middle of July.

Another thing I heard is that the MX has softer sidewall and thus
benefits from a 7.5 inch rim over a 7 more so than the Azenis. All of
these are reasons why we elected to start with the Azenis, even though
we have 2 drivers. As you mentioned the 2 driver lane gets pretty wet
during STS run group anyway :P

But these are only things I have heard- I am pretty new at this game.
Glad to take a break from reading and get back to racing!

Peter

I chose the MX's, due mostly to the heat buildup
problem of the Azenis' I noticed a lot of water on
the ground in the multi driver line, from people
cooling their tires. The MX's got better with every
run, but took a while to build heat. I'm thinking
about another set, shaved, and leaving these as the
rain tires. Or... a set of Falkens for asphalt...
Just thinking out loud at this point. It'll be
interesting to see whether the MX's are better at the
next event right from the start...

Charlie
