I looked at the parts reference list on the web site and I found the following
it says, Negative cable 15-16", Starter 18" and positive cable 70"-72" What
does it mean by starter cable?
After 30 years we probably need both positive and negative cables. The one I
see connecting to the starter in cracked and you can see exposed wire under the
cracked insulation.
Right now the car will not start. When you turn on the key, all lights radio
and such work but when you try to start the car it just clicks but the starter
does not turn. I dont know if its the positive or negative cable but we will
probably just replace both being they are both original.
Ill take a look at the original 1975 Service Manual Supplement, 1974/1975
Electrical catalog and 1974/1975 Parts Price List for any info.
