* Also, has anyone ordered a production record trace on their car from
* British Motor Heritage? There is a small blurb in a recent Moss Motors
* newsletter that says "send 20 dollars". Does anyone know if they want
*  cash/check/pounds?

Darrell :

I recently spoke to somebody who had sent away for a production record
from BMH. I think they paid about $20 and they received an official
looking 11.5" x 8" piece of paper with all the information about
their particular car. I thought it was a nice touch, especially if you
frame it.

If you have any queries, you could always write to the BMH directly.

It is encouraging to see groups such as the BMH and Historic Rally
Register being so enthusiastic about preserving older cars, such
as the MG and others. It is also amazing that the MGB is back in
limited production. It now possible to built a brand new MG from
all the different suppliers.

I read yesterday that the Midget body shell is going to be
remanufactured by the BMH. Apparantly they had problems deciding
which of the sheels to remanufacture. Eventually they decided on the
1973-73 round wheel arch shell because it is the rarest.

There are also plans to remanufacture the TR6 chassis with possiblities
of making the complete body.

Gerry.
