More on tube shocks:

Tube shock conversions are available for the Midget for both
the front and the rear. I bought a set for both ends and
it literally took me 2 hours to fit all four shock absorbers.
The difference is amazing - and well worth it.

Last year I fitted reconditioned front lever shocks and
within about 6-7 months the front end felt "soft" again.

I fitted the tube shocks and immediately tightened up
the front end again. I use the Midget for a lot of
off-road rallies and good shocks are a high priority
item. One year and a lot of abuse later, the front end still
feels tight , especially compared to a standard Midget.

The silly thing about all this, was that it was cheaper to buy
the tube shock conversion kit with the shocks (not Spax) then
it would have been to buy reconditioned lever shocks.

The installion is VERY easy and straight forward. The front
end is slightly trickier because one extra hole needs to be
drilled. Otherwise all other mounting holes are already
there.
