The TR-8 sounds like a great car. Always good to hear about a
restoration coming to a successful conclusion!

I have a friend that had a old Volvo with faded carpet. He
tried Rite brand clothing dye, you know, the same stuff a
few of us used to tie-dye our t-shirts a few years ago. :-)
He mixed up a batch in his sink and put it into a spray
bottle. Applied 3 coats, waiting a hour or two between each
on a sunny warm day. The carpet looked almost like new when he
was done. Sadly, he sold the car a few months later, so I can't
report on how long it lasted.

Try the dye, either the above method or the stuff in spray cans
and let us know how it turns out. Worst case is you buy new
carpet somewhere down the road instead of now.

Good luck,
Kirk
