For those wondering, here's the formulae:

MPH = (RPM * Tire_Diameter) / (Gear_Ratio * 336)

e.g.

4500 rpm * 25.90 in. / 3.7 * 336 = 93.75

So with 185/80-15 tires with a diameter of 25.9 inches, a final drive
of 3.7 and 4th gear of 1:1 ratio, 4500 rpm = 93 mph.

Boy, there must be something in this homebrew. The ad read "74 TR6 for
parts, or $150 for all" One hundred and fifty dollars for a TR6 parts
car, and *I didn't even call* - at least my wife was impressed. Sigh.

Speaking of parts, I may have a set of carbs, I know I have a few rear
bumpers and certainly some side glass, in case Roger's hot deal doesn't
satisfy everyone. By the way, Mr. Muller, you are back too early, my calendar
says to mail the carb off tomorrow. Aren't you supposed to be gone till
tuesday?
