A few general comments on improving braking which may or may not be applicable:
= hi-perf pads such as Ferodo, etc.
= properly bedding the pads (anyone have a good procedure for this?)
= braided-steel flexible hoses - should be noted that dirt must be kept out of
     these, as it apparently tends to get into the braiding and cut the 
strandss,
     thereby weakening the hose.  Covering with a rubber hose is recommended.

More to the point, what do you want from your brakes?  Better feel? Shorter
stopping distances?  Reduced fade?  And how much do you want to pay?  I'm
sure someone like JFZ or Hurst/Airhardt would be plenty happy to make up a
set of 12" vented rotors & calipers for each corner, but you might have
to mortgage the house.

Seriously, though, unless the brakes are truly horrendous & won't stop the car
safely, tuning them up via one or more of the above means could only help.
The steel hoses are a judgement call for the street, though, as they do need
some maintenance.

You might also look into a master-cylinder swap.  This'd take some research,
first to find the diameters of the primary & secondary pistons in the stock
piece, and then to find a part from another car with somewhat larger dimensions.
