        Mine started a several months back.  I dismantled them and it
seemed that something (varnish?) was causing it to stick shut.  It's only
the rear carb of my MGBGT. I replaced it with another only to have it start
sticking yesterday morning.  Seems to have something to do with overnight
sitting.

        Next step will be to try cleaning it with some Chemtool.

        I'm not really sold on the idea of the old SU needle valves.  Those
stick _open_ which is far worse.

        BTW - tapping on the offending float bowl will cause it so start
working again.
