With Spitfires, GT-6s, Heralds and Vitesses, their engine accessibility
can make unaided SU balancing quite easy. Just lift the front up, stick
your nose between the carbs and do it in 'stereo'. It sound a bit 'make-do'
but the times I've done it and had the chance to check it later with a
gauge, it has been very accurate.
