I've found that Plasti-gauge is very difficult to remove, especially
from bearing surfaces.  What might be a good solvent to dissolve this
stuff without marring the babbitt surface or leaving a residue behind?  I
certainly wouldn't want to scrap it off and even rubbing vigorously
doesn't seem like such a hot idea.
