Well the other day I was out getting a pulley for the "Monster" (and I
hope no one else calls their car a Monster). I seen this 1956 Land Rover
for sale. I talked to the shop owner who is th eone that is selling it.

I looked it over the best I could and it looked to be in fair shape. It
had some surface rust on the body but nothing serious. It does need a
paint job. It starts every time very easily, I was given a demo of this
fact several time to prove the point. The motor has just been rebuilt,
it has new tires all the way around (including the spare). He is asking
$3K for it. I'm thinking of gettin it, one to pull the "B" back to Texas
in Sept. and two, to do some off-roading while I'm here in the desert.

So what I would like to know is what is the average price for one of
these things. And is there anything I need to beware of?

The thought of towing a LBC with a [M/B]BC vehicle sounds tempting, and
exciting. I surely would not tow an American s##t box with a classic,
besides that could be construed as a contridiction in terms. At the very
least it would definitely be a conversation piece.

Thanks in advance for your replies,

Bruce...
