Having had regular tripod headlamps and having a pair of PL700s that were
and had better one day be back on the TR, I strongly suggest that you get
the PL:700s.  They are a MUCH better lamp housing.

If Apple lays me off, I have time to fix the TR but no money for parts
If does not lay me off, I will not have time to do much work on the TR,
  but will have money to pay for parts.
