Jaguar Gasoline Odor

I remember a discussion several months back about a distinct gasoline odor
in the trunk and/or passenger area of some Jags.  I have a 1984 XJ12 with 
this problem.  I also heard rumors of a recall for this problem.  Does 
anyone have info, or specific data to reference that recall notice?
