I tried to send you email again but it has bounced three times. I saw your
last message in this list. My Internet address is "bob_mccomiskie@ptltd.com".

AMGBA

I went to their convention up in Keene, NH, last Saturday. Actually,
everybody gathered at the MG Museum in Westminster, VT, around Noon time.
Quite a crowd including about 60-80 LBCs. Mostly MGBs, some Midgets and,
would believe they let them in, some Triumphs. Best of the show, to my eye,
was a 68 B from Maine. Red, looked like it came off the showroom floor.
Also, a 69 MGC/GT that was pristine as well. Most unusual was an early model
Midget, chrome bumpers, probably late 60s, with a 1937 Ford flathead V8 with
an SU carb mounted on a turbocharger. The owner started it and it ran as
smooth as any engine I've ever heard. Great weather, great museum too. All
kinds of MGs from the mid-1920s and up. Many in the process of restoration.

Indy Cars

Also went to the New Hampshire International Speedway to watch the Indy Car
races on Sunday. Boy, they sure make an impressive sound when they wind those
suckers up. Good race. The outcome was in doubt until the finish line.
Third Place: Emerson Fitipaldi (Brazilian content), 2nd Place: Paul Tracy
(Canadian content), 1st Place: Nigel Mansell (British content). It was
Nigel's 40th birthday so the crowd sang Happy Birthday to him before the race.
