I called by our local Rover dealer on Friday to have a look at the MG RV8.
Have you seen it over there? I was sceptical that even an MGB, wonderful as
they are, could be sold for Pounds 25,000. I've changed my mind - this car
does look the business. There's not much left of the old car you can see -
only the doors and the heater air intake, as far as I could tell - maybe the
boot lid too. The wings are all new, as are the lights - the headlights are
sloping Por**he-type, and the rear clusters much wider. The paint is
fabulous, and the car ooooozes quality, although the white ruched leather
interior is a bit over the top (like the walnut, though). I don't think
they'll have any problem selling them, even in recession-torn England.
