No. What you do is use a plasma cutter and cut
the spring mounting plates from the donor axle
and weld the plates on the transplant. Then take the two
driveshafts and some measurements to
a hotrod shop and have them make up an hermaphroditic one.
Some One-Point-Five owners have used MGB
rearends, to keep the blood line pure. However, I want to carry
only one spare tire. Some have overcomed that problem
by going to wire wheels all way 'round.
