re: Crane Cam Electronic Ignitions

I agree that the Crane Cam/Allison electronic ignition is worth
installing.  However, be sure you keep the points setup in the
trunk.  When the electronic ignitions fail, they fail completely.

So far, I have had the Allison electronic ignition fail twice on
my TD.  Because I stored the points in my toolbox, I was able to
get quickly back on the road.  Without the points, I would have 
been left high and dry.
