So, made an offer on a house in Chapel hill NC, last week and got one on our
house in Austin, Texas this evening....YIPPEEE

So, '68B has almost fully recieved transplanted parts from rusty '73BGT,
Engine, OD/tranny, OD speed & Cable, entire bolt up front end...boy an amazing
concept ...two hours out 1.5 hours in, each way......what fun, of course it
will still need to be rebuilt, but not for a year,,,,,,or more.....????

then three days ago, the good used fuel tank I put in the BGT two years ago
justwent to the B.....boy.......so, then yesterday,,,,sure runs funny......oh
STUCK VALVE ON #1 INTAKE....Yuck,,,Scarry..?....welll pulled head last
night and cleaned her up.....toook all valves out and cleaned....apparently
all the stale gas I tried to tun through it over the last two weeks gummed up
the the valves, and #1 just stuckkk...Hopefully this theory holds true.....so
instead of the usual path of VALVE JOB AND $60, including the depressing news
of the magnaflux check with Bubba, oh the head is cracked here.....I mean,
its a 30% chance these days that a B head has some crack in it somewhere..RIGHT,
I Mean the trick is where is the crack and how critical is it.....welll anyway..
so CHEAP VALVE JOB,,,,,,,more on the results later,,,,,,valves seemed pretty
good, not pitted with one exhaust seat exception,,,so variable speed drill
on the valve stem and course, then fine valve gringing abrassive on many spins
in the seat,,,and all the valves look suprisingly good,,,,,,so head back down
on block..and bolt here up next tuesday,,,,,,more on "performance?" later,,,

so this car is going to DRIVE to North Carolina soon,,,? Hmmm, and the '71B
showcar.....Hmmmmm, the BGT will tow bar behind 245 DL V---O, (Not an LBC),

So,,,,,,,,Who is in ATLANTA, and between Texarkana and Atlanta, and between
Atlanta and the Triangle of NC...? I expect some pit stop will be in order
as this summer saga of 3 B's in transit continues,,,,,,

Oh,,,,any British Car Magazine subscribers out there,,? My '71B has a photo Ad
in the back of the June Issue, Austin only gets 8 coppies on the newstand and
all were out when I went looking, how does the Expensive little cars' ad look,
how's the photo..? ,,,really she's not expensive unless you count 800 hours of
labor strictly LOVE....and never worth a dime........Oh Welll, I'll enjoy her.
