Hi

Gary Meadows asks a few questions - I dont know all the answers but
here are a few pointers;

Radio - fitting a (modern) radio can be a real pain, I've just
been through this on my TR4, and a considerable amount of cutting
and filing was required. [ After some advice & much thought, I've
put the speakers in each footwell, roughly above & forward of ones
knees, so they are discreetly hidden from view. I drive the car
quite a bit & need a bit of "radio" whilst on the motorway/freeway.
Earlier experiments with free floating speaker(s), door mounted
speakers, 60's radios didnt work. ]

wipers - yes they should park. Most likely the self-park contact
in the unit has decided not to conduct electricity; take the "top"
off & clean?

Oil consumption - that sounds kinda high?

British Motor Heritage
----------------------

The info that I have states that TR4->7 owners should send a cheque/check
for 20 sterling (about 30 bucks?) payable to B.M.I.H.T to

British Motor Industry Heritage Trust
Archive & Library
Castle Road
Studley,
Warks.,
B80 7AJ
England,UK

and quote the year, make & model of car plus the vital chassis number.
In return you get a certificate suitable for framing (presumably
describing the cars original build spec.).

I dont know about non-TRs, but I'd be really surprised if they
didnt do the other makes.

Owners of early TRs can get trace info via Bill Piggot of the (UK)
TR Register (if you are a member).

Hope this helps.

PS: there is a TR2 for sale that is a) very cheap b) has some fibreglass
panels & TR6 wheels c) no doubt an absolute wreck. What should I do?
I have no money & no space to keep it ...

Regards, Adrian
