SOL'ers,

Did anyone notice Peter Egan's last article in RT re: local bookstores actually
carrying decent car books? I had to laugh when he talked about how
great it is to have decent bookstores where there are decent car books,
but that you could also sip espresso etc.

Does anyone remember his article some years back re: a trip to Italy
where he had his first encounter with espresso? My memory is a little
sketchy, but I recall him characterizing espresso like this: "Espresso is
the process where, apparently, 1000 cups of normal coffee are distilled
into one tiny little cup of extremely bitter, etc.".

At the time Peter's stock went down just a tiny bit (well all right,
quite a bit) in my eyes ;^) Happy to see he's joined the 90's on this
particular topic, although it cracks me up that he acts as though he's
loved espresso all along after he went out of his way to trash it before!

I return you back to your regular LBC content.....
