<I should have mentioned - United Kingdom (i.e. cheap) specification. All
the inertia reel belts I've seen engage (lock) when tilted out of vertical,
so are not much use when bolted horizontally behind your head! Obvious the
original spec. you mention works differently.>
In my MGB, I have an inertia reel seat belt that I picked up at the Classic Car
show at the NEC in Oct '92. This has adjustments for the mounting angle to allow
fitting to virtually any surface.
Most good car spares shops in the UK should be able to order something suitable
for you!
