'74 MGB

Hi:

A long time reader is close to taking the plunge.  I'm looking at a '74 MGB
which looks and drives well for $3,500.  

I'd be grateful if any owners of early MKII's could E-mail to me their
experiences with their cars (particularly weak spots to check).

I'm still shaky on the bumpers and raised height.  The lower power doesn't
bother me as I'm getting on in years and am just looking to cruise on nice
days.
